BIRTHDAY PARTY TOPIC IDEAS
The exciting possibilities for parties include:
Scavenger Hunt (ages 3 and up)
We’ll head outdoors to search for natural wonders large and small,
checking off our lists as we go!
Reptiles (ages 3 and up)
Our reptile show will introduce LIVE snakes and turtles to your children,
in an educational, non-threatening, and fun way.
Map Quest (ages 3 and up)
We’ll put our map skills to the test as we search for “treasures”
along the trails.
Hike and Trail Games (ages 6 and up)
Many of our older explorers simply love to hit the trails and stop along
the way for some fun games, like “Camouflage” and “Tsunami”.
Craftmakers (ages 6 and up)
If your child loves to create craft projects, come put together fun “recycled”
crafts which everyone will love to take home. Examples may include bird
feeders, memory boxes, and many others.
Seasonal Topics (ages 3 and up)
Take advantage of the changing seasons by selecting one of these topics:
Winter Wonderland (Recommended Dec-Jan-Feb-Mar) What
do animals do in the winter? We’ll hope for snow to follow animal
tracks and definitely explore where animals go and what they do to survive
the cold months.
Spring Seedlings (Recommended April-May-Jun) A planting
party can be a great way to welcome the warmer weather! We’ll decorate
pots and plant native plant seeds to take home.
Summer Bugs (Recommended Jul-Aug-Sept) Schiff Nature
Preserve has lots of places to find bugs, butterflies, and other insects
at this time of year. We’ll hike to many of their favorite hangouts
and identify them.
Fall Migration (Recommended Sept-Oct-Nov) We’ll
explore bird migration with a variety of demonstrations, games, and outside
exploring.
