August 1 (morning and afternoon, regular camp, and
afternoon session of Artists of the Forest for 9-12 year-olds)

Our Mission:
Schiff Summer Nature Programs for Kids will provide children with
opportunities to play, explore and learn together while developing
a sense of community, self- confidence and an appreciation for the

What We Offer:
* Experienced adult science teachers
* A 1:10 teacher to child ratio
* Lessons designed to motivate and inspire your child
* Almost 600 acres of forest and meadow
* 14 miles of hiking trails to explore and discover
* Recycled craft projects to promote environmental awareness
Weekly Activities and Happenings
Include:
Daily Hikes, Nature Games, Recycled Craft Projects, Live
Animal Programs, Tie Dyed T-shirts, Gardening, Themed lessons
Morning Session
9 am-12:30 pm OR Afternoon Session 1:30-5:00 pm
Six weeks of camp
for kids ages 6 (or entering first grade) to 12 years old..JPG)

Curriculum Set 1 - Where The Wild Things Are: Habitats; Native American Ways: Lenni Lenape; Schiff Rocks! Local Geology; Insect Galls: Swell Homes
Week 1: June 27 - July 1
Week 4: July 25 – 29
Curriculum Set 2 - Web Weavers: Spiders and Their Webs; Leaves: Nature’s Solar Panels; Camouflage: Designed to Conceal; Raptors: Birds of Prey
Week 2: July 11 – 15
Week 5: August 1– 5
Curriculum Set 3 - Daytime Campout; Mother Nature’s Medicine Chest; Incredible Edible Wild Plants; Seeds & How they Move
Week 3: July 18 – 22
Week 6: August 8 - 12
Special Elective Class, Artists of the Forest (Afternoon session)
Week 4: July 25 – 29 - 6- 8yrs
Week 5: August 1– 5 - 9- 12yrs
Two weeks for ages 13-16 years old:
Week 1: July 5 – 8 – (4 days only) Stream Surveying Techniques, Art in Nature, The Big Hike, A Schiffy Surprise
Week 2: August 1- 5 - Special Raritan River Watershed Project Week. Full day program with off-site field trips. $300 per teen.
Fees - Stepped Tuition: You choose what you pay per week!
Robin Level: $150 per session
Covers all basic fees and expenses. Includes Schiff patch and t-shirt.
Bluebird Level: $165 per session
Covers all basic fees and expenses and allows for a few non-consumable "extrtas" for the program. Includes Schiff patch and t-shirt.
Goldfinch Level: $180 per session
Includes all of the above, plus allows us to expand on our existing program efforts throughout the year. Includes Schiff patch and t-shirt.
